Last Thursday was perhaps the hottest day in Looe we have had here so far, and wow it was Gorgeous!!
We had the luxury of having no Guests booked in, so thought we would take the opportunity to explore more of our beautiful local area of Looe and try some more of the Coastal Path.
The Walk starts off at the turning circle in Millendreath at the beach entrance and weaves up the hill to the left, around a small collection of houses and up a narrow lane. It is quite a hilly walk but well worth it for the spectacular views, within about half a mile you should be on the top of the hill admiring the panoramic views.
The walk continued parallel to the road to the Monkey Sanctuary due to damage to the cliff path - but there is still plenty of wildlife to see and new friends in the way of horses to make!!!
The path continues past the sanctuary and up the lane, when you come across a gate into a field named 'Struddicks'. This path takes you back along the cliff line and all the way to the top of Seaton.
The walk is not to be missed and could be enjoyed by anyone as you would not need to do the whole walk to benefit from the stunning scenery.
Seaton Beach is a great place to stop. We stopped for a nice real ale at The Smugglers and enjoyed watching the world go by before heading back.
A word to the wise though... if its hot and your not great a walking it may be better if someone met you and picked you up at Seaton. We just made sure we were well rested before heading back for the journey home and gave Milli a rest and a carry when she wanted it.
All in all - a beautiful walk - and a must do for any Coastal enthusiast.
Millendreath is just 1.4 miles from our Looe B and B so is great for access to the Coastal walks from here.
Check out our Website www.dovershouse.co.uk if you may be looking for accomodation in the Looe area to explore more of this amazing Coastline.
